Dean Stockton aka D*Face is a London based artist who early on found an interest in graffiti through the books of Henry Chalfant, “Spraycan Art” and “Subway Art”. He started out studying photography, but things turned out differently as he later turned his focus to illustration. Meanwhile, he started to place stickers on the streets of London. His style is easily recognizable as he uses pictures of cultural icons such as Andy Warhol, Marilyn Monroe, and the Queen. Featuring recurring imagery of celebrities and punk iconography, D*Face’s oeuvre is characterized by his bright, graphic aesthetic and a focus on consumerism and the ways in which it shapes everyday life.
