Born in Philadelphia and active heavily in New York and San Francisco, Nemel aka Nemy aka Nemz was an early member of the IRAK graffiti crew and goes by the name Jesse Geller. Geller says he first starting tagging at the age of nine. Nemel developed the concept of tags upon tags upon tags creating an abstract pattern while in San Francisco, but it is actually through the execution of his large wall projects that the vision was brought to another level. He was friends and writing partners with some of the most notable writers during his time, writers like Earsnot and Twist. Nemel contributed so much style to the graffiti culture and was very prolific during his time.
